A Practical Space-Saving Solution

The Futonz Trundler Bed Base is designed for modern New Zealand homes where flexibility matters. Whether for growing families, guest rooms, or compact spaces, this Trundler base provides an additional sleeping surface neatly stored beneath the main bed. It easily rolls out from underneath your bed, and you simply lock the wheels to put it in place. The solid pine slats ensure good circulation for the mattress, and you can put either a mattress or a futon onto the base.

Materials

Sustainably Sourced New Zealand Timber

At Futonz we only use sustainably grown New Zealand timber from renewable plantations. Our Trundler pine bed bases are made from Pinus Radiata, a strong and flexible wood with a broad clear grain. 

Natural Non-Toxic Oils

All our Trundler Bed Bases are finished with a coat of natural Haarlem Oil – from the Tung Tree. Also known as Danish Oil, this coating is non-toxic and environmentally friendly.

At Futonz, we stand behind the quality of all our products – the Trundler Bed Base is covered by Futonz’ 10 year warranty – which includes all aspects of workmanship, materials and durability.

Futonz’ 7 Day Bed Trial

Our 7-day trial means you can try your bed for a whole week to make sure it is the right choice for you.  You can get a refund or exchange the product if you are not completely satisfied. This trial promise includes sharing the freight costs: if you have paid for delivery, we will pay for return freight to our workshop. This 7-day trial is extended to full price standard bed bases only. We cannot offer trials on non-standard or customised beds.

Estimated Delivery Time

All of our latex mattress, futons and bed bases are made to order from our workshop in West Auckland. The usual order completion time is two weeks plus delivery.

Auckland Delivery Cost

We deliver bed frames and mattresses in Auckland metropolitan for a $60 flat rate, and we are happy to setup. We also deliver to the greater Auckland area for $80. Alternatively, you are welcome to pickup your order when it is ready from our showroom and workshop in Oratia, West Auckland. Smaller items like pillows and cot mattresses can be couriered to your door.

Nationwide Delivery Cost

Depends on the products and your address. We use couriers for smaller products, and Mainfreight for mattresses and frames delivered to your address. To get a freight quote, you can add the relevant products to cart, then enter your street address in 'Checkout', which asks Mainfreight for their charge. For smaller items like pillows, or if freight seems to expensive, you can add products to cart with your address, note any questions you have here too, then checkout as a 'Quote', and we will get back to you with delivery options and answers to your questions.
