Description
The Latex Core Futon is our most popular futon. It combines the advantages of natural cotton with the benefits of modern latex, making it more comfortable and durable compared to a traditional futon. The Latex Core Futon has a medium firm feel and the latex core provides both support and comfort.
The Latex Core Futon is handmade from a 50mm organic latex core that is wrapped in layers of cotton and poly wool, and covered in a natural cotton fabric. The organic latex is durable and supportive, and the layers of cotton and wool add softness and help regulate a comfortable sleeping temperature.
The Latex Core Futon provides great posture support for every night use. It works with all our slat bed bases and works great with our sofa bases too, especially the Devon Sofa Bed and the Siesta Sofa Bed since it bends easily.
We choose to use polywool as standard in futon mattresses as it maintains its loft much better. Pure wool is available if you prefer but please be aware it will compact more quickly.
To keep its shape, the futon needs to be flipped over once a week to air and maintain the cotton loft. We also recommend putting it on a slat base to ensure enough airflow.

Estimated Delivery Time
All of our latex mattress, futons and bed bases are made to order from our workshop in West Auckland. The usual order completion time is two weeks plus delivery.
Auckland Delivery Cost
We deliver bed frames and mattresses in Auckland metropolitan for a $60 flat rate, and we are happy to setup. We also deliver to the greater Auckland area for $70. Alternatively, you are welcome to pick up from our showroom and workshop in Oratia, West Auckland.

Frames are 'flat packed' into cardboard packages. Mattresses are 'double bagged'. Seraphic mattresses latex layers may be bagged individually..
