Latex 5 Cot Mattress

From $160

Safe, Cosy and Healthy

Description

A wonderful first bassinet or cot mattress.

It’s super cosy for baby. Organic latex is comfy, supportive and safe. Organic carded wool allows air to circulate and maintains an even temperature. The fine-knitted bamboo and cotton cover is soft and flexible.

There are no ‘hard bits’ or springs in this mattress – the support is a dense, springy, elastic foam of tiny latex bubbles – which means the mattress compresses with gently contouring support under baby’s weight and shape.

All the materials are natural. There is none of the off-gassing found in polyester foam, and latex foam is extremely durable.

The latex support is consistent across the whole mattress, and the surface is completely flat, meeting the NZ health guidelines. Please see ‘Specifications’ for more safety info.

We are happy to custom make the size to fit your baby’s crib, nest, bassinet, cot or pepi-pod.

Over the years and many baby mattresses this design is by far the most popular.

Materials

Eco-Friendly and Ethical Organic Latex

Our natural latex mattresses are made from 100% pure, sustainable, organic and GOLS-certified latex. The latex we use is grown in a plantation in Sri Lanka that follows sustainable and organic growing practices and does not use synthetic additives or fillers in the production of their latex. We are  happy to support an eco-friendly, ethical and developing business.

Gols certification iconThe Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) is a premier, third-party certification for products made with natural latex. It ensures the latex is sourced from organic rubber plantations and contains at least 95% certified organic raw material. GOLS guarantees strict, eco-friendly, and socially responsible manufacturing, covering the entire chain from farming to the finished product.

Breathable Cotton-Bamboo Blend

Our quilted mattress covers combine an OEKO-TEX® certified cotton-bamboo outer with a quilted inner layer of organic New Zealand wool. Naturally breathable and temperature regulating, they add gentle cushioning while protecting your mattress, creating a healthier, more comfortable sleep surface all year round.

Oeko Tex certification

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is a globally recognized, independent testing system that ensures textile products are free from harmful levels of over 1,000 toxic substances. It covers all components—from fabrics to threads and buttons—guaranteeing safety for human health.
